Creating Documentation From Third Party Systems


Microsoft Entra Documentation

Context

The importance of securing client data when using Evention.  Using Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure AD) allows user authentication, Single Sign On (SSO), and multi-factor authentication.

Opportunity

Internal and external partners required basic documentation in how to add users to Microsoft Entra.

Contribution

I approached this project by gathering screenshots and information from the Product Manager.  I worked on:

  • Identifying the main features of Microsoft Entra.
  • Writing a step-by-step guide in how to add client information.

Impact 

  • Delivered the content that helped internal and external partners use Microsoft Entra.
  • Added documentation to Coda.

Power BI Documentation

Context

The Power BI tool is being used by certain Evention clients.

Opportunity 

Development, Professional Services, and Support teams needed basic documentation about the use of Power BI during the onboarding process.  Or if clients call with user questions.

Contribution

I started with getting as much information about Power BI from internal partners.  This included Development team, Professional Services, and Product Mangers.  Over the course of this project I:

  • Created an outline of content received from internal partners highlighting basic features of Power BI when adding a new user.
  • Discussed with the Product Manager about the main uses of Power BI.
  • Wrote documentation for how to add a user tot he Power BI workshop.

Impact 

  • Delivered the content that helped internal partners setup for new users.
  • Added documentation to Coda for internal and external access.
